Dr. Frazer researched attitudes towards World of Warcraft's transgender character, finding strong support in forum posts. They emphasised the need for more LGBTQ+ characters and authentic representation in games. In an exclusive interview with Out Making Games, Dr. Frazer, a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, discussed their future work on transgender representation in diverse video games.

Out Making Games achieved significant wins for the LGBTQ+ community in 2022. Last year we wrote an open letter to Rockstar Games, calling on them to remove transphobic content from Grand Theft Auto 5’s next gen release. We’re thrilled to say that they have.

At not much more than a year since we formalised as a Community Interest Company, we've recently been putting some work into governance for the OMG team. We've achieved a lot with our flat committee approach, but we felt it was time to add some structure to formalise our processes and help keep us efficient, accountable and organised.
